Last November while in Sydney I sat down with The Grace Tales founder, Georgie Abay, to share my personal and professional story of balancing motherhood with a career. Below are some of the photos from the event location where we had our Spring 17′ preview party and interview.

See the entire story in The Grace Tales Magazine’s February issue. So many inspiring women in there I’m honored to be in such company.
When I was 14, I moved with my family to a small town of Seaford, Delaware. From there we moved to the Rehoboth Beach where I spent my days in the sun surfing and patrolling the beach as a lifeguard. It was there that my love for swimwear really developed.
I walked into a local surf shop when I was a lifeguard over the summer. My now husband Nathaniel worked there. When he saw me he insisted I needed a lesson to better understand which surfboard was right for me.
Starting the business when my first daughter was just 6 months old was overwhelming but also very exciting. I had incredible drive because I wanted to be someone for my baby and that really drove me to be successful.
It was a natural progression to do cover-ups and other resort pieces that our customer can wear on vacation. I want us to grow into a lifestyle brand that has everything for our customer… from a bikini to a beach umbrella.
